I have to agree with Silver Crescent here, you don't need H scenes to make a game worth while. Sunrider for example if you don't install the uncensor patch is still a great game. So was Elven relations and so far ACE Academy is turning out to be great as well. A visual novel to me, is kinda like the old Choose Your Own Adventure games, or early early PC text based RPGs. Its kinda sad that so many people can't appreciate it for the art work it is and seem to think its only about H Scenes.

Then again, I'm one of the people who enjoy reading a book over watching a movie most days. So maybe I'm just predisposed to VN games because I enjoy reading. Thats exactly what the main apeal of Visual and Inteactive Novels is! Visual novels are like reading through a Light Novel or book while Interactive Novels are like reading a CYOA book! Even many of the Eroge I have I actually played through for the story over the erotic materials because they actually have compelling stories.
I havent tried Elven Relations, but I have played Sunrider and it is a good game without the H patch.
