In my case we have a Matrox VFW codecs disc that came with the Axio systems. After installing these Vegas sees the footage just fine. Even the 10-bit footage. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SYSTEM CurrentControlSet Control Filesystem - look for the NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation DWORD value and set it to '0'. Install Matrox VfW codecs. Copytrans Manager Download Chip on this page. It worked with everything but exporting.(my Nikon P7100 compresses in.mov I think.yeah,.mov) I have since uninstalled Lightworks and tried to install the Matrox VFW codecs. The installer hangs after it decompresses everything without installing anything.
I have tried setting NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation to 0 (was 2) but still no luck. I made sure to reboot after each install, uninstall, and registry value alteration. I tried the two builds of the installer package from the Matrox site (26 and 31 I think) but they both hang after decompressing themselves. Windows 7 64bit. Any other suggestions? I was thinking maybe a graphics driver update next? I'll hold down the fort with that next and update if it turns up success.
