Abnormally mana-rich, Shandalar is a place where magic flows freely: from the wilds of Kalonia and the kingdom of Thune to the shadows of Xathrid, the peak of Valkas. Jul 16, 2014 - To the oldest of old-school gamers, Shandalar evokes the first Magic computer game, one published by MicroProse in 1997. The game, simply called Magic: The Gathering, was set on Shandalar and was, for a time, the only peek into that world. It was similar in tone to early Magic's 'default' setting of.
Yeah I know the game you're talking about. It's magic the gathering from around 1997. They made one or 2 expansions for it Whenever I played that mode, I could never buy cards in the towns/stores. It would say to press 'B' or something like that to buy the cards but, it would never work. I was very upset about that but, the game was pretty fun & the idea was good.
That game would deffinatly be a good idea for today's game market. You play in a game world as a fighter/planeswalker and you have your card collection. The game has random battles with monsters & other personas, you can choose to go into extra areas get special cards.
The game has dungeons with special rules. And an added challenge was that you kept your card collection through out that game.
Would be smart to make another action-rpg type game like that & you play magic duels. Originally posted by:Try Hex: Shards Of Fate. Wizards Of The Coast is currently suing the makers of this game for copyright infringements. So I wouldn't spend real money on it at this stage if I were you, because this project might just get shut down if WOTC wins the lawsuit.. 'Fearing competition in the trading card game industry, and frantic about the loss of its monopoly position due to the expiration of its patent two months ago, Wizards seeks to eliminate Hex: Shards of Fate through litigation rather than fair marketplace competition.

Some tricks i learned to get more power 9 than you can get from dungeons: 1) If you run into a bazaar where you can buy cards, strongly consider buying several, and stick 1 or 2 in your deck. Later, while dueling dragons and other powerful creatures, use the bronze tablets to take their Moxen. The computer will always choose to give you ownership. 2) Seek out mindstealers, which can be found by the coasts (they look like blue knights).
When you win, there's a chance they'll let you duplicate one of your cards (i believe this chance goes up if you end the game with more life than you started). If you own a power 9, you now own two of them. 3) If you get an encounter that says 'You encounter a [insert big creature here] guarding a horde of valuable spells.
Will you: leave quietly; duel the creature', always always fight it. You don't have to put up any ante on the fight and thus have nothing to lose, and while it will be a tough fight to win, the rewards for winning are very good including the possibility of P9.
